Under twinkling fairy lights and starry sky on Friday night and beneath the gorgeous springtime sun on Saturday, it encompasses spring in the Barossa and is a must visit!
Barossa Valley Cheese Company
The Barossa Valley Cheese Company is a fabulously stinky room, selling handmade cheeses from the milk of local cows and goats. Tastings are free, but it’s unlikely you’ll leave without buying a wedge of Washington Washed Rind. Sit outside with a wine-and-cheese flight or a camembert vs brie taste-off plate.
Iconic to the Barossa, Chateau Tanunda is a monumental stone winery was built in the late 1880s and sits adjacent to some of the oldest vines in the valley. If you want a taste of Barossa history, this is it! We highly recommend trying some Semillon from the 150 year old vines if you get the chance.
Barossa Farmers Market
The Barossa Valley is known for its local produce and there is no better way to taste it then visiting the Barossa Farmer’s Markets. Barossa Farmers’ Market is open every Saturday morning from 7.30am to 11.30am offering the best of fresh, seasonal, artisan made Barossa food. Over 50 stallholders sells an extensive range of the local vegetables, fruit, meats, breads and cheeses. Delicious oils, preserves, bread, pastries, cakes, sweet treats, drinks and other local specialties give you everything you need for the week ahead.
