We recommend visiting during a sunrise or sunset, as you’ll see the sky change colour right before your eyes. You may even spot dolphins playing in the river!

Bago Maze and Winery
Iconic to Port Macquarie, the Bago Maze is the largest maze in NSW with the hedges over 2.3metres high. Get lost in the maze and discover lookout towers, bridges, boardwalks and sunken paths. As the walker approaches the end of the maze they will pass through a section representative of a bunch of grapes and exit at a point where grapes become wine.
A tour throughout the Koala Hospital is a must to get up close to these cuddly creatures. Located in the grounds of the historic and beautiful Roto House, it is the world’s first hospital dedicated solely to the care and preservation of koalas.
