Watch the Sunrise
There is no better way to start your day than watching the sunrise, and the best spot in Australia is at the famous lighthouse in Byron. Sitting on Australia’s most easterly point, you will be one of the first persons to see the sunrise in Australia that day. Do like the locals and enjoy a morning walk or run up to the iconic lighthouse, or hire bikes from Byron Bay Hotel & Apartments.
Hit the Beach
You’re obviously heading to Byron to hang at the picturesque beaches right? Main Beach is located just 150 metres from Byron Bay Hotel & Apartments and is definitely worth a visit. Otherwise, we highly recommend Wategos Beach or Whites Beach.
Browse the Sunday Markets
If markets are your thing then you’re in luck! Byron Bay is all about supporting locals, and the markets are a great way to see and talk to the designers. The first Sunday of every month you have the main market, brimming with local designers, food vendors and more. If you miss this one, then there is the Twilight Market which is held every Saturday in the Railway Park.
Goodies Juice Bar
Having developed their own specialty coffee and with a range of organic juices, smoothies and health foods this is a Byron favourite among both tourists and locals. The peanut butter acai bar is a favourite!
Byron Fresh Café
Byron Fresh Café emphasise a healthy lifestyle using fresh ingredients, super foods, free-range, organic and local produce where possible. Enjoy a salad and cocktail and soak in the authentic atmosphere.
For a treat yourself meal, we highly recommend Bang Bang, located in the same building as Byron Bay Hotel & Apartments. Beautifully lit with an in-house DJ, this Asian restaurant is a must during your stay- try the King Prawns!
