State Theatre Company and Country Arts SA bring Terrestrial to Leigh Creek
Get ready for an out of this world experience!
Put June 19th in your diary as the State Theatre Company and Country Arts South Australia head to Leigh Creek for one night only!
The production of Terrestrial, directed by the perceptive Nescha Jelk (Gorgon, Othello), tells the story of Liddy, a teenage alien obsessive, and her mum when they arrive in a remote South Australian town as they find a community collapsing in on itself due to an impending mine closure. Sound familiar?
Liddy swiftly connects with Badar, a witty, cynical 15-year-old just like her. An outsider just like her. A lover of sci-fi, just like her.
Terrestrial is Fleur Killpatrick’s, Jill Blewett Playwright Award winner, debut with the State Theatre Company portraying this mysterious love letter to the abandoned communities of regional South Australia.
